Product description

Thabiso Makhele has lovingly sculptued this large scale pagolin. Each scale has been hand crafted and placed like armor upon the pangolin's back. A labour of love and one that illustrates the value of each scale. Wiseman Ndlovu has chosen to leave the pangolin's sculptural form in the clays natural cream tone, emphasising the value of the pangolins scale. Wiseman prefers to add tortoise shell pattern on the inside of the pangolins tail, symbolising withdrawal, curling up into the tight ball and locking down into itself, is the only form of protection the pangolin has over mankind.

Sculpted by Thabiso Makhele and painted by Wiseman Ndlovu
