Nene Urn
Victor Mtshali’s monumental grecian-like urn celebrates the endangered crowned crane. Wiseman Mpofu has followed the colourway and wallpaper design titled, “Nene” which celebrates one of Ardmore’s first artist’s Phumelele Nene who passed away in 1998. The floral motif has an African take on William Morris, and the crowned crane and fish motifs have a charming naivety.
