About this artwork
One theory why Wagtails wag their tails is that tail-wagging helps a bird to capture its insect prey by flushing it out. Sello Mosola sculptured this teapot out of the body of a wagtail. Zinhle Nene used striking black and white with tones of brown to enhance this wonderful piece.
Made by Sello Mosola and painted by Zinhle Nene
Dimensions: H; 22cm L; 25cm W; 14cm
Ardmore's mark of authenticity
For collectors to identify an original Ardmore work of art, please look for the lowercase 'a' that is stamped into the bottom of the ceramic pieces, as well as a hand-painted mark.
