In 2020, Ardmore artists were gifted a unique opportunity to witness conservation efforts at Singita, a prestigious game lodge in South Africa. During this experience, they collaborated with the anti-poaching unit, gaining first-hand insights into rhino conservation.

Renowned sculptor, Alex Sibanda, inspired by this experience Sculpted a rhino with a barbed wire-encased horn, symbolizing a dualistic perspective of ensnarement and protection against harm.

Painter Sthabiso Hadebe further emphasises this theme by intricately painting barbed motifs around the legs and adorning the sculpture with lush green patterns. The collaborative artwork serves as a poignant commentary on the intricate balance between preserving rhinos and the potential threats they encounter in their natural habitat.

South African shipping times range from 3-5 working days.
