Our Artists

Find out more about these remarkably talented individuals, below.

Our ceramics are made by local artists - extraordinary people from the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal. These artists are given training, materials, a studio and a guaranteed market for their work, under the guidance of our founder, Fée Halsted.

The Story of Ardmore

The story of Ardmore begins thirty nine years ago when in 1985 Fée Halsted started on a journey teaching ceramics to a talented group of rural people on a farm in a remote corner of the Kwazulu-Natal province, South Africa.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Ardmore ensure the safe delivery of the artworks?

Our packing team uses a combination of tissue paper, butcher paper and bubble wrap, carefully wrapping individual parts and accessories to protect each unique piece during shipping.

The artwork is then placed in its packaging and held firmly in a cocoon of expanding foam.

We prioritise the artwork's safety to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
