Inspired by soccer, dogs and the artistic legacy of his family, Sakhile continues to develop his sculptural practice while learning from fellow artist Slu. He is grateful for the opportunity to carry forward his aunt's extraordinary legacy, creating sculptures that celebrate Ardmore's enduring tradition of storytelling and craftsmanship.

Over the past two years, Sakhile has developed his sculptural skills remarkably, demonstrating an impressive versatility and growing confidence in his craft. He creates beautiful candle holders adorned with an extraordinary variety of African wildlife, capturing the intricate details and distinctive character of animals found across the African plains. His attention to detail and imaginative compositions bring a wonderful sense of life and movement to each piece he sculpts.
