Allan was born in 1996 in, Pietermaritzburg. He attended Eastwood School but dropped out due to an unsettled life at home.

In 2010 he met Sthabiso Hadebe, a painter at Ardmore when on a visit to his aunt. Three years later, Allan decided that he wanted to pursue a career at Ardmore and asked Sthabiso to introduce him to Fée Halsted.

Allan is now recognized his stylized imagery.

With the launch of Cole & Son’s Ardmore collection of wallpapers in 2017, Allan worked closely on the Acacia design.

His pieces are greatly admired and have proved popular with international buyers.

In 2019 Allan’s magnificent giraffe and elephant bowl, stole the show at the ‘Sabie Exhibition in Cape Town’.
